Jinta "Jintan" Yadomi (宿海 仁太 Yadomi Jinta), called "Jintan" (仁太), is the main character of the series. In the past, Jinta was an energetic, young boy and the leader of his group, the Super Peace Busters .
Personality
- When Menma first appears to him, he initially believes that she is a part of his hallucination due to all the stress that he has. Despite all of this, Jinta is a very caring person.
- After Menma's death in an accident, the group of friends drifted apart, and Jinta eventually became a hikikomori, refusing to go to school and confining himself to his home.
- Jinta Yadomi is an only child whose mother passed away when he was a young boy. He now lives alone with his father. He is the only character through out the series who can see and communicate with Menma and subsequently helps her carry out her last wish.
- He eventually becomes hesitant to grant her wish out of fear that she will vanish again. Nonetheless, Menma's appearance encourages him to venture outside and reconnect with the members of the Super Peace Busters. He is a natural leader with his friends always following him.
