Anohana: The Movie (劇場版 あの日見た花の名前を僕達はまだ知らない Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai) is the movie to the anime series, produced by Aniplex and A-1 Pictures and premiered on Aug 31, 2013. The film is an epilogue set a year after the conclusion of the series. It shows the members of the Super Peace Busters writing a letter to Menma as they reflect on the past events.

The movie opened on August 31 in theaters across Japan. The film the anohana story from the character Menma's point of view with a new epilogue. The film opened at 64 theaters and then expanded to about 100 theaters. The film sold[1] 161,225 tickets for 198,177,700 yen (about US$1.989 million) in its opening weekend. As of October 27, the movie was seen 754,341 times and earned[2] 1,009,290,700 yen (US$10.334 million). The film's theme song is "Circle Game" (サークルゲーム?) by Galileo Galilei.[6][7] The song is also used for an alternate opening for the anime's rerun on noitaminA starting in July 2013. Aniplex of America released the film in standard edition DVD and Blu-ray Disc (BD) sets and a limited edition BD/DVD combo pack on July 15, 2014. A second anime film is said to be released in 2015.
